Advocating for Affordability: As a CPA with anti-fraud experience, helping local government run efficiently can help strengthen Maitland’s financial stability. Keith will keep an eye on where and how our money is being spent. He looks forward to utilizing his unique skills to help with oversight of all construction contracts related to the building of the new library.
Ensuring Quality of Life: Protecting and maintaining Maitland’s natural beauty, including its parks, lakes, and recreational facilities and neighborhoods is a priority.
Enhancing Public Safety: Keith brings 30 years of federal law enforcement experience with the FBI, including 7 years locally to the Orlando area. He will prioritize securing the resources for our First Responders to ensure they have the tools and training needed to keep our families, schools and neighborhoods safe.
Transportation: He supports crucial transportation improvements and infrastructure projects to improve our daily life, making Maitland safe and accessible for walkers, cyclists, and motorists alike.

Keith Givens has been proud to call Maitland home for over seven years after a career of military and public safety service. He fell in love with the city's charm, picturesque parks, and vibrant cultural scene.
With 30 years as an FBI Special Agent and as a CPA and fraud investigator specializing in cyber safety, Keith has a career track record of protecting communities and solving complex problems. He served our local community directly with specialized training for the Maitland and Winter Park Police Departments. This invaluable expertise is exactly what he intends to bring to the City Council.
An avid supporter of the arts, Keith has spent years supporting Maitland’s vibrant cultural and arts scene. He is dedicated to preserving and promoting Maitland’s distinctive charm that makes it a desireable place to live, work and play.
Keith has spent a lifetime serving with leadership and integrity. Now, running for City Council, he is committed to protecting Maitland’s residential neighborhoods, enhancing its recreational and cultural offerings, and ensuring the city remains vibrant and welcoming for all.
